Progress-aware answering
Help that stops where you are
The problem with asking a question about a game is that the answer usually knows more than you do. This is the mechanism that stops that happening.
Answering for GTA VI unlocks after release
This title has not been released, so there is no verified mission list, chapter order, map data or walkthrough knowledge to draw on. Spoiler Check and the protection modes work today because they analyse how content is written, not a database of game facts. Progress tracking, progress-aware answers, hints and missed content stay switched off until verified information exists after release — we will not invent it. We will not switch it on with a knowledge base we have not verified — that would be the exact failure this product exists to prevent. Try it on our demo game to see how the boundary behaves. How your progress becomes a boundary
- 1
You record where you are
Roughly, as a percentage or as an exact verified checkpoint once those exist. Vague is fine — vague just means we tell you less.
- 2
That becomes one number
Whatever you gave us resolves to a single position on a normalised scale. If you give several signals, the lowest one wins, because the lowest is the safest reading.
- 3
Only facts below it are used
Every piece of knowledge we hold is tagged with the earliest point at which it is safe. Anything above your number is never sent to the model, so it cannot leak into an answer.
What happens to a question we cannot answer
The draft answer goes through a second, independent spoiler-boundary check before you see it. That check can approve it, edit it or reject it outright. A rejection becomes a plain refusal:
“I can’t answer that safely without risking a future spoiler.”
That is a success, not a bug. A system that always produces an answer is a system that eventually produces one it should not have. If you want the answer anyway, you can raise your recorded progress — but that is your call to make, deliberately.
The progress options, after release
These are the settings this game will offer once verified progression data exists. There is no GTA VI progress selector today, because a list of missions we cannot verify would be an invention and inventing it is the failure this product exists to prevent.
- No progress / haven't started
- Early game
- Partway through
- Late game
- Finished the story
Exact checkpoints appear per game only when verified information exists and has been reviewed. You can exercise the whole mechanism today on our fictional demo game.
