What the three verdicts mean
- Safe
- No meaningful story spoilers detected. Nothing in the wording suggests plot, ending or character outcomes. It can still be wrong — this is a risk estimate, not a promise.
- Caution
- The content appears to discuss unconfirmed gameplay, map or location information, or optional content you might prefer to find yourself. Common for rumour posts and speculation threads.
- High risk
- The content may reveal major story events, an ending or what happens to a character — or it is built around leaked material. Before release, most High risk results come from the second category.
Confidence matters as much as the verdict
A High risk result with Low confidence usually means we could only see a title. A Safe result with Low confidence means the same thing in reverse. When we can only read part of something and any signal fires, we will not report Safe.Common questions
How can a checker work before the game is out?
It reads the language, not a database of game facts. Content that is about to spoil something tends to announce itself — 'ending explained', 'leaked footage', 'what happens to', 'full story'. Those patterns exist whether or not anyone has played the game. That also means it cannot tell you whether a claim is true, only how risky the content is to read.
What can it actually read from a link?
Ordinary web pages and articles. Many video and social platforms build their pages with scripts, so a fetch often returns nothing readable. When that happens the checker says so and asks you to paste the title or a few lines instead, rather than guessing from the address alone.
Does it store the link I check?
No. It stores the domain — 'youtube.com', not the video address — plus a one-way fingerprint of what you submitted and the resulting classification. The content itself is never written to disk.
